Professional Fly Fishing Guides
For nearly three decades, Trout Creek’s professional fly fishing guides have been leading anglers to successfully fish and experience the world-class fishery the Green River and Flaming Gorge Reservoir have to offer. Owner, Johnny Spillane, has integrated his Olympic award-winning work ethic and precision into Trout Creek in an effort to match the greatness of the Green River.
Wade Isaman
Wade first fell in love with fishing back in 1997 on the Green River. On his first day, he became “hooked” after landing two buttery browns. Since then, he has traveled to the waters in Washington and Montana, but kept returning to the Green. He is here to stay as one of our guides!
Wade is the guide for you if you are looking for someone that is “fun”, informative, and patient. He wants you to become “hooked” on these beautiful, big browns as he did several years ago.
As an avid fly-tier, he’ll take care of the flies of choice for you on your trip. Being slightly superstitious, he would prefer you leave the bananas and white lighters
Nick Jackson
Nick is often described as courteous, professional, and patient, as well as knowledgeable of both the river water and appropriate flies. He has a kind, receptive personality and can adapt to any skill level from beginner to experienced, and any desired technique of fishing.
John Sparger
When he discovered fly fishing, working for Trout Creek, at the age of 18, it was a perfect fit. John has been guiding the Green River since 2006, in that time he has learned to become a patient instructor in the techniques and nuances of fishing the Green, with specific emphasis on his favorite techniques of dry fly and streamer fishing.
Brandon Feller
Brandon believes that it’s not just about guiding people into fish, but empowering individuals to become better anglers.

Fishing is fair to good depending on the day for all sections of river. We are still seeing good numbers of terrestrial insects, and there are good numbers of midge and baetis (pseudo’s). Anglers are finding success with both dry flies, and nymphing. The streamer fishing can be good at times as well.
Go-To Flies:
Aquatic worms in different colors. Caddis dry flies grey/olive (sz. 16-18) Midge pupa white/grey (sz. 20-24) Beatis nymphs, emerges, and dries in light olive. (sz. 22-24)
