Raft Rentals

At Trout Creek Flies you can rent a raft and have a do it yourself adventure down the river.

If you are a little reluctant we may be able to find a guide to row you down the river for a fee.

We rent inflatable rafts in various sizes along with some kayaks and paddle boards.

We can get you to and from the river with a launch and pickup or with our shuttle service to run your vehicle down to the take out.

Life jackets and paddles are included in the raft rental prices. If pure peace and easy going is more your style; rent a paddle board or kayak and meander through the giant red rock canyons of Flaming Gorge.

There are now paddling trails designated on the reservoir and information on them can be found here at Trout Creek.

Green River Fishing Report

May 4, 2026

Flows: 8,600 cfs

Temps: 44-45 F

Drought conditions this year have brought about changes to our flows. Lake Powell is in trouble and water from the Flaming Gorge is being sent to help. Currently, the flows are at a steady 4,670 cfs, but the presence of razorback larvae downriver have been observed and the Fish and Wildlife Service have requested the implementation of the Larval Trigger Study Plan releases. The flows will increase to 8,600 on May 4th in increments at 10 am-1 pm. There is still some good fishing to be had, and the fish will be concentrated in the back eddies and the slower edges of the river. Nymphing has been most productive technique, but high flows always bring a chance for good streamer fishing as well. There are terrestrial insects around, and bwo’s are still present, but the dry fly fishing is tough at these higher flows.

Go-To Flies:

Worm patterns in different colors-red, pink, and brown. Sow bug patterns-gray (sz.14-18) Scud patterns-gray, olive, and orange-(sz.10-18) Egg patterns-pink, peach, and yellow. BWO patterns-(sz.16-18) Cranefly larvae-tan, olive (sz.4-8) Streamer patterns-articulated-olive, ginger, and white.
