Raft Rentals

At Trout Creek Flies you can rent a raft and have a do it yourself adventure down the river.

If you are a little reluctant we may be able to find a guide to row you down the river for a fee.

We rent inflatable rafts in various sizes along with some kayaks and paddle boards.

We can get you to and from the river with a launch and pickup or with our shuttle service to run your vehicle down to the take out.

Life jackets and paddles are included in the raft rental prices. If pure peace and easy going is more your style; rent a paddle board or kayak and meander through the giant red rock canyons of Flaming Gorge.

There are now paddling trails designated on the reservoir and information on them can be found here at Trout Creek.

Flows: 834 cfs flat
Temps: 54-55 F-slowly dropping
Fishing has been fair on all sections of river. Flows have dropped to a minimum, and the fishing is tougher now as a result. There are still some nice fish to be caught as the browns look to put on weight  for the upcoming spawn. Boats on the river have more of an impact on the fish at these lower flows. Look for areas where you can get away from the crowd and the fish are settled. There are some rainbows just beginning to spawn now, and the nymphing has been good in those areas. If you are looking to throw dry flies you can still catch fish on terrestrials. There is a good daily fall baetis (pseudos) hatch occurring, and fish rising for them  in some of the back eddies in the late mornings and early afternoons.
Aquatic worms in brown, orange, and red. Sow bugs and scuds in grey colors. (sz. 18-24) Egg patterns in pink and orange colors. Lightly colored bwo (baetis) nymph, emerger, and dry fly patterns (sz.20-22) Cricket patterns (sz.12-14) Ants in black and brown (sz.12-16) Beetle patterns brown and black (sz.10-16) Large articulated streamers, and very small streamers in black, yellow, and white. Articulated and not.
