Green River Fishing Report

June 2, 2026

Flows: 1,000 cfs daily, 1520 cfs evening/nightly

Temps: 50-52 F

We are getting a good cicada hatch this year and fishing has been great. The nymph fishing has also been good using sow bugs and worm patterns. Changes are coming with flows increasing on the afternoon of June 8th to 4,600 cfs, for the SMB flow experiment. Fortunately, the flows will ramp back down on June 11th. This increase in flows will have an impact on the fishing, and the cicada/dry fly fishing will likely not be as good. However, nymph fishing will still be good using similar flies, as well as egg patterns and scuds. When flows recede the dry fly fishing will pick up right where it left off.

Go-To Flies:

Cicada patterns-black/yellow (sz.10-12) Ant patterns-black (sz. 12-14) Crickets-black and brown (sz. 10-14) Beetle patterns-black (sz.12-14) Sow bug patterns-grey (sz.14-16) Worm patterns-red, pink, orange (sz. 12-16) Scud patterns-grey, olive, and orange (sz. 14-22) Egg patterns-peach, pink.
